Deploy intelligent automation
that doesn't sleep, call in sick, or miss a deadline.
South Wales-based AI Transformation Consultant for SMEs and mid-market operators. I work out where to apply LLMs, how to govern them, and how to ship them into live business processes — so AI pays back from month one.
Free 30-min AI reality-check · what AI can and can't do — no pitch
Watch Sophie book a table end-to-end.
Real recording of the demo page. Voice in, transcript out — booking fans out to diary, email and SMS while the owner's phone lights up on the right. No cuts.
The four layers of an AI system that actually holds.
Workflow redesign & AI readiness
McKinsey: AI winners are 2.8× more likely to fundamentally redesign the workflow around AI. I start where the process is broken — not where the model would be flashy — and re-architect the flow before we introduce a single agent.
- Business process mapping
- Bottleneck & ROI analysis
- Human-in-the-loop design
- Change management plan
Systems integration & data plumbing
AI without your CRM, warehouse, accounting and comms tools is a party trick. I connect the ugly, legacy, messy plumbing — securely — so agents and automations run on real business data, not screenshots.
- CRM · ERP · accounting sync
- API + webhook middleware
- Data warehouse & pipelines
- Scoped credentials & auth
Agent & automation build
Once the workflow and data are right, the agent is the easy part. Custom Claude / OpenAI agents, n8n and Python workers — grounded on your data, wired into your stack, with proper retrieval and guardrails.
- Retrieval-augmented agents
- Voice · WhatsApp · email surfaces
- n8n / Make / custom workers
- Document & invoice extraction
Governance, evaluation & uptime
65% of AI winners have defined human-in-the-loop review; only 23% of everyone else does. Every system I ship comes with monitoring, eval sets, audit logs and a documented escalation path — so it survives audit, staff turnover, and prompt-injection attempts.
- Eval sets + regression tests
- Audit logs & GDPR-aware storage
- Prompt-injection defences
- Human review + escalation
Also available — specialist services.
Standalone engagements that don't need a full systems build. Booked as audits, retainers, or team workshops.
GEO for AI answer engines
Google's AI Overview, Perplexity, ChatGPT search, and Gemini are already answering the queries your customers used to type into search. Generative engine optimisation is the discipline of structuring your content, entities, and citations so those engines quote you as the source. Audits, content briefs, and team workshops — for businesses that want to be cited, not scrolled past.
- LLM citation audits
- Entity + schema hardening
- Answer-shaped content briefs
- Team workshops · half-day or full
AI-content detection & policy
Your inbox already receives AI-drafted CVs, tender responses, and internal reports. I set up detection tooling and review policy so your team knows what's AI-generated, what's borderline, and what the response protocol is — before a hiring, compliance, or PR issue lands on someone's desk.
- CV + application screening
- Vendor & tender submission checks
- Internal-report policy design
- HR + hiring workflow integration
Interactive demos. Not screenshots.
Working demos running on this page — the same architecture patterns I ship to clients. Run one right here. No signup, no email.
AI receptionist
Actually call it and talk out loud — it answers back in a real voice. It's set up for The Blackbird Inn, a demo pub. Paste any real business's website and it reads the site, then answers the phone as them instead.
Talk to virtual me
Grounded AI agent — Claude, RAG over my own services and calendar, guardrailed and logged. Same architecture pattern I ship for client-facing support and sales copilots.
n8n workflow generator
Describe an automation in plain English — get an importable n8n JSON. Live example of the LLM → structured output → downstream system pattern I use on every integration build.
Two free offers. No cost. No catch.
Not “free audit that turns into a pitch”. Free as in: you get the value, then you decide if we ever speak again.
Free 1-hour AI business talk
I come to your business — anywhere in South Wales in person, anywhere at all online — and spend an hour on what AI can and can't do in your operation. You leave with a written shortlist: what's worth automating, what isn't, and roughly what each would cost. Useful even if we never speak again.
An AI call taker answers your phone. Free for 2 days.
Takeaways, restaurants, salons, trades — every missed call while you're flat out is an order down the road. I wire an AI receptionist to a trial number, it takes calls and bookings for 2 days, you read every transcript. Your phone setup stays untouched. Don't want it after? It just switches off.
Public roadmap. In the open.
Open-source systems I'm building in 2026. Each is a real, focused answer to a production problem I hit while shipping paid client work. Click any card for the full write-up — what it does, the £ it saves, why it works, and why it beats what's currently on the market.

What 'good' looks like in an AI voice agent — and why most fall short
If you're thinking about replacing your reception line with an AI, here's what actually matters — and the technical bar most vendors quietly fail.
Systems shipped for.
Anonymised for NDA. Happy to walk through architecture and decisions on a call.

From reality-check to running in production — with the governance layer most people skip.
Reality check
Free 30-min call. A straight brief on what AI can and can't do in your kind of business. No pitch, no bespoke discovery — knowledge you can use even if we never work together.
Discovery
Included in every package. Week one: I map the workflow, systems, data and constraints, then deliver an architecture doc, ROI model and a scoped build plan.
Build
Working staging URL within 72 hours. You see progress with logs and a live eval set. We adjust fast, in the open.
Adoption & governance
Docs, Loom walkthroughs, eval sets, audit logs, 30-day warranty. This is the phase 70% of AI projects skip — and why 70% of AI projects fail.
Pricing that scales with your business. Not a one-size band.
Just want a chatbot on your website? Start with the Website Chatbot below — productised, cheap, live in days. Sole trader wanting one workflow automated? Look at Starter. Mid-size operator with a proper system to rebuild? Systems build. Enterprise programme with compliance and change management? Custom quote. All automation prices are “from” — real figure comes after a call so you're quoted on what you actually need, not what someone else needed.
Website Chatbot
For any business that wants an AI on their site — like the one on my website
Custom-trained on your business — services, pricing, opening hours, FAQs. Captures leads into your inbox or CRM. Embeds in one line on any site (Squarespace, WordPress, Wix, custom). Live in 3–5 days. Try it free for 2 days — read every transcript, decide after. No card required.
- Site embed + hosted API
- Custom knowledge base + tone
- Lead capture → email / CRM
- Transcript dashboard included
Sole traders, trades, workshops, small offices — one clear bottleneck
Productised, template-driven automations shipped in days. For businesses that want one specific thing done well — a missed-call recovery bot, an invoice email pipeline, a customer form → CRM sync.
- 1 focused automation
- Delivered in 3–7 days
- Fixed price, no surprises
- Runtime infra ~£20–£100/mo (pass-through)
Mid-size SMEs, hospitality groups, professional practices — bespoke workflow overhaul
End-to-end build: workflow redesign, real integration with your existing systems, agent layer, governance and human-in-the-loop. Two to four weeks against a signed architecture doc.
- Full architecture doc + ROI model
- Up to 3 connected systems
- Governance & audit layer built-in
- 30-day warranty · retainer optional
Multi-site operators, regulated industries, multi-million turnover — full-programme scope
Custom-scoped programme starting with a paid discovery engagement (credited toward the build). Full change management, integration, compliance. Six weeks to six months depending on scope.
- Paid discovery phase (£3–5k, credited)
- Full compliance & audit scope
- Change management + team training
- Retainer £2k–£5k+/mo ongoing
Why “from”? A hospitality client replacing reception is a different job to a legal firm automating contract intake. Fixed brochure prices either overcharge small builds or undersell large ones. The tier tells you the ballpark; the discovery conversation tells us both what it actually costs to build, run, and support for you.
The honest answers.
70% of AI projects fail. Why won't mine?+
Because the model is almost never the problem — the workflow, data or governance is. I redesign the workflow before any agent is written, define success metrics before we build, and ship every system with human-in-the-loop review and an eval set. That's the pattern the McKinsey AI 'high performers' use — and the pattern 70% of failed projects skipped.
We tried AI already and it didn't stick. What now?+
That's the most common starting point in 2026. Usually the pilot proved the model works, then died because nobody redesigned the workflow around it, or nobody wired it into the real business systems, or nobody put a review loop in. Discovery starts with 'what didn't work and why' — the second attempt is usually shorter than the first.
How do you handle GDPR and data compliance?+
UK/EU-region hosting where the data needs it, scoped credentials per system, no client data through third-party training endpoints, and audit logs on every action an agent takes. If you're in a regulated industry (legal, finance, healthcare) we scope the compliance requirements in discovery, before a line of code is written.
Do you work with my stack?+
Almost certainly. I prefer modern tools (TypeScript, Python, Postgres, n8n, Claude) but I integrate inside whatever you already have — Zapier, HubSpot, Salesforce, Xero, Notion, Airtable, Sheets, Slack. Legacy systems too — that's where most of the integration work actually is.
How long until something is live?+
Website chatbot: 3–5 days. Starter automation: 3–7 days. Systems build: 2–4 weeks. Custom transformation: 6 weeks to 6 months. Working staging URL inside 72 hours of kick-off — you're never in weeks of silence.
How much for a website chatbot?+
£250 setup + £30/mo, and there's a free 2-day trial so you can see it working on your site before you commit — no card required. Setup covers scoping the bot's knowledge, tone and lead-capture handoff (into email or your CRM), plus the site embed. The £30/mo includes hosting and up to 2,000 messages per month; overage is £15 per additional 1,000. It's an order of magnitude cheaper than a Starter automation because it's productised — one code path, one hosted setup. The AI on my website is exactly this offering.
What happens when it breaks?+
Every system ships with logging, alerts and an eval regression check. 30 days of warranty fixes are included; a Systems retainer covers ongoing monitoring, drift checks and improvements.
How do you decide what to charge me?+
Cost-plus. I estimate the build hours based on complexity (workflow size, integration count, regulatory scope, volume), add the runtime infrastructure your system will need per month, load in overheads and a fair profit margin, and quote you a fixed price. The tier you see on the pricing page (Starter / Systems / Custom) is the ballpark — the actual number comes from what YOUR system needs, not what someone else's needed. That's why prices say 'from' — a workshop automating one email flow shouldn't pay what a hospitality group replacing reception pays, and vice versa.
What is Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)?+
GEO is making your business citable by AI answer engines — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google's AI Overviews. When a customer asks an AI 'who's the best [your trade] near me?', the AI picks its answer from structured data, extractable headings, and authoritative content. GEO is the work of giving your site those signals: schema.org markup, llms.txt, answer-shaped FAQ content, and entity binding between your name and what you do. This site practises what it sells — view source.
Can you tell if a CV, report or submission was written by AI?+
No single detector is reliable enough to accuse someone — false positives are a legal risk. What works is a layered read: stylometric signals, metadata checks, version-history forensics where available, and structured comparison against the candidate's known writing. I build that pipeline for HR and admissions teams, and — just as important — help you write an AI-use policy that says what's actually allowed, so you're not policing a rule you never wrote down.
Are you a one-man band? What if the project is too big for one person?+
Deliberately solo, yes — and for most SME projects that's a feature, not a risk. The person you talk to on the first call is the person who architects, builds, and supports your system. No juniors learning on your budget, no handover between sales and delivery, no account manager in the middle. When a build genuinely needs more hands — a mobile app, heavy data migration, specialist design — I bring in trusted specialists I've worked with before, under my architecture and my responsibility. And every system ships with docs, eval sets and audit logs specifically so you're never locked to me.
Can I speak to past clients before hiring you?+
Yes. The case studies on this site are anonymised because clients don't want their automation edge advertised to competitors — but that's for public view, not for you. Ask on any discovery call and I'll connect you with references relevant to your industry and project size. You can also judge the work directly: the demos on this site are live systems, not mock-ups — call the AI receptionist, run the workflow generator, read the open-source code.
How long has AiM been going?+
I started AiM in 2024 and incorporated in 2025, so the company is young — I'd rather you hear that from me than from a Companies House lookup. Judge the output, not the incorporation date: the live systems on this site, the open-source repos, and the production systems running for clients right now. A 20-year-old consultancy selling you 2015 methods is a worse bet than a young one shipping systems you can click and test today.
What certifications do you have?+
No certs wall. No AWS/Azure badges, no vendor certificates — the AI field moves too fast for a certificate older than six months to mean much. My credibility is output you can verify yourself: every claim on this site is backed by a live system you can click, an open-source repo you can read, or a demo you can phone. That's a higher bar than a certificate — a cert proves you passed a test once; a production system proves it works now.
Architect the system that sticks.
